Personal Safety and Self Defense Workshop

Adults and High School aged teens are welcome to join us for an interactive personal safety and self defense workshop with Lindsey Daehnke of Strictly Self Defense.  This session will include training in three key areas.

 

Mindset:

Basic personal safety strategies

Myth busting some common safety myths

 

Skill set:

Simple, effective strikes

Escapes from common grabs

 

Planning:

Understand the importance of planning for unwanted interactions

Learn the components of an effective personal safety plan

 

Instructor Bio: Lindsey Daehnke is the Founder of Strictly Self Defense and offers Trauma Informed Self Defense Workshops throughout Chicagoland.  She has been training in the martial arts for more than 25 years.  She is a Third Degree Blackbelt in Tang Soo Do and a First Degree Blackbelt in Hapkido.  Additionally, Lindsey is trained as a Medical Advocate for Survivors of Sexual Assault.

Please wear comfortable clothing.  Event starts promptly at 6:30pm.
