Calling all grim grinning ghosts and silly spooks, it’s time to come out and socialize! If you’re looking for a family friendly and safe way to celebrate Halloween that's double the spook-tacular fun then look no further than the annual Library Trunk-or-Treat and the City of West Chicago's Downtown Trick-or-Treating events.  At the Library compete in our costume contests, collect sweet treats, vote for your favorite spooky trunk, and more!  Stay tuned on social media for more ghoulish details. 

Hey, groovy ghouls and goblins interested in participating in our trunk-or-treat event showcasing local businesses and organizations by passing out candy and giveaways?  Want to show your Halloween spirit and compete in our ‘Best Dressed Trunk’ contest for local bragging rights and a special trophy?  Click on the attachment to access the registration form and return to the Youth Services Desk by Monday, October 20th.  If you have any questions about participating please contact Kelli Simmerman at ksimmerman@wcpld.info.

Photo Policy

The library may take photos, videos, and audio recordings at the library and during library events to use in its publicity materials and on its website and social media sites. The library reserves the right to document its services and the public’s use of the library building and grounds.  These photographs, videos, and audio recordings may be copied, displayed, televised, and published (including on any library web site or social media site). Any individual that does not wish the library to use a photograph or video of them or their child should inform a library staff member prior to or while such photographs or videos are being taken.
