From the Gutter to the Gallery: Will Eisner and the Birth of the Graphic Novel

Before the mid-20th century, comics were largely viewed as "disposable" entertainment—printed on cheap newsprint and destined for the trash. This talk explores the life and legacy of Will Eisner, the visionary artist and storyteller who dared to treat the medium as high art.
